Business Innovation and Investment (Permanent) (subclass 888) visa

Business Innovation stream

This visa lets holders of a subclass 188 visa in the Business Innovation stream or the Business Innovation Extension stream, or holders of a subclass 444 visa, or certain holders of a subclass 457 visa, live in Australia permanently.

Key points

You must have held a subclass 188 visa in the Entrepreneur stream for at least 4 years if invited to apply for that visa before 1 July 2021, otherwise for at least 3 years.
You must have lived in Australia for at least 2 years while on your subclass 188 visa.
You must show a successful record of entrepreneurial activity in Australia while you held your subclass 188 visa.
